David Foster Home Page

David's specialism is high resolution black and white graphic photography. His recent 'Black & Light' touring exhibition was covered by the Sunday Times who commented that "Foster's skill in observing the extraordinary in what we take for granted should not be underestimated". David considers four aspects of the photographic progress as critical to success of the image - idea interpretation, imagination, implementation and impact. Works mostly in Monochrome; which he prefers to call Black and Light, signified by black backdrops and backgounds enabling the light to illuminate the subject His style is abstract realism, sufficiently realistic to be recognised but abstract to differentiate. Current genre usually consists of timeless haunting images, studies, scenes and scenarios somberly shot with subtlety and simplicity. Recent photographic projects include: Adventures and Affairs Black and Light Digital Focus Images of Peace Eight by Eight Take a seat Amazed ~ Long Kesh prison
