23/01/2004, Olivier Deme wrote: Sandycove is mostly known because of the James Joyce tower where the writer spent some time writing the first chapters of his Ulysses.
The tower has been converted into a museum dedicated to this writer.

Sandycove is also a pleasant residential area that offers a nice walk along the seashore between Dun Laoghaire East Pier and the 40 Foot.
