If you want an alternative and mini-ring-of-kerry drive from Moll's Gap towards Killarney on the N71 and take a left down into the Black Valley(sign-posted) - then keep going until you pass through the Gap of Dunloe and the N72 will take you into Killarney. Then leave Killarney via the Muckross road and take the N71 up through the mountains and lakes back to Moll's Gap.
