Its beautiful harbour attracts boats of all kind.
From Baltimore, one can take the boat to the nearby islands (Clear Island Hare Island, Horse Island and Sherkin Island).
The walk to the beacon is very pleasant and offers wonderful views on the ocean.
Baltimore is one of the rare places in Ireland that was subject to Arabic invasion, in 1631. 200 villagers were brought as slaves to Algier, a historical fact that can be found in the name of a local pub: The Algiers Inn.
